Obituary of Elizabeth "Betty" Bellinger

      Miss Elizabeth “Betty” Bellinger, 93, a resident of the Masonic Care Community in Utica, formerly of N. Utica, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2024 at the nursing home with her loving family by her side.

     Elizabeth was born in Utica, on February 11, 1930, the daughter of Abraham and Marie (Terrillon) Bellinger and received her education in Utica schools. For 41 years, Betty was employed with Utica National Insurance Company, retiring as a supervisor in 1989. Betty was an avid bowler and member of the Utica Bowling Association and an avid golfer, participating in five golf leagues over the years. She was an active member of the N. Utica Seniors, a member of the 25 Year Club at Utica National and a longtime parishioner of St. Peter’s Church in N. Utica.

     Miss Bellinger is survived by her sister-in-law, Joyce Bellinger as well as several cherished nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Marjorie and Jim Kittleman and Dorothy and Edward Cox and two brothers and one sister-in-law, Robert and Lee Bellinger and Charles Bellinger.

     Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to Elizabeth’s funeral Mass of Christian burial on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter’s Church, 422 Coventry Ave., N. Utica. If you wish to pay your respects and offer a prayer for Dorothy you may do so from 9:30-10:00 at church prior to the funeral Mass. She will be laid to rest in Lowville Rural Cemetery, Lowville, NY.
