Mrs. Leona A. Lazicki, 92, of Schuyler, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024 at Wynn Hospital with her loving family by her side.

     Leona was born in Rome, NY, on February 21, 1932, the daughter of Joseph and Charlotte (Mroczka) Reszetnik. On June 20, 1953, Leona was united in marriage with Nicholas Lazicki at Transfiguration Church in Rome, a loving and devoted union of 25 years, until Nicholas’ death in 1979. For many years, Leona was employed with Rome Labs. She was a parishioner of St. Mark’s Church in N. Utica. Her greatest joy was spending time with her beloved family who were the light of her life.

     Mrs. Lazicki is survived by her daughter, Barbara Dylis of Clinton and her significant other, Joe Giannotti; cherished granddaughter, Jennifer Dylis of Cold Brook and her significant other, Bill Clark as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Frank Dylis; two sisters, Josephine Vagliardo and Jeannette Nacewicz and one brother, Edward Reszetnik.

     Visitation for family and friends is Tuesday, March 5, 2024 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica, followed by a funeral service at 8:00 p.m. at the conclusion of visitation. She will be laid to rest with her husband in St. Stanislaus and Casimir Cemetery in Whitesboro.
