Patricia O'Toole, 89, of New Hartford, passed away Friday, January 22, 2016 at her home, with her children at her side. Pat was born in Utica, NY on May16, 1926, the daughter of Oliver and Agnes (Schmidt) DeFrank. She was raised and educated in the Utica school system. In 1948, she was married to Michael R. O'Toole. Mr. O'Toole passed away in 2006. With 24 years of service, Pat was employed at St. Luke's Hospital, ending her career in the dialysis unit of the hospital in 2001. She is a member of St. Thomas Church, New Hartford. Pat is survived by her four children, Nadine, Michael, Sharon, and Mark (Mary) ; six grand children and six great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Pat was also predeceased by two sisters and one brother. The family would like to express a sincere thank you to Hospice and Palliative care, especially Hilary, Cheryl, and Jennifer for all their care and kindness shown Pat's family. Mrs. O'Toole's Funeral will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at St. Thomas Church, New Hartford, where her Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Her family will greet guests at the conclusion of Mass. Burial in the Spring will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, New Hartford. In lieu of flowers, donations in Pat's memory would be appreciated to Hospice and Palliative Care, New Hartford.
