Christine S. Mott Obituary

      Mrs. Christine S. Mott, 74, of Marcy, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at Wynn Hospital.


     Christine was born in Utica, on September 1, 1949, the daughter of Edward and Gladys (Pierkowski) Stanczak. She was raised in Utica and was a graduate of Utica Free Academy. On August 12, 1972, Christine was united in marriage with Timothy W. Mott at Holy Trinity Church in Utica. For 30 years, Christine was employed with Verizon Phone Company and for 17 years with Upstate Cerebral Palsy. She enjoyed shopping, and especially loved spending time with her family and friends. Christine was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Church in Utica.


     Mrs. Mott is survived by her loving husband, Timothy; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Timothy E. and Elysabeth Mott of Worcester, MA and Ryan P. Mott of Washington State; a cherished grandson, Deacon Mott who was the joy of Christine’s life; a sister-in-law, Maureen Mott of AZ as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Patricia Gienstro.


     Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to Christine’s funeral Mass of Christian burial on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church in Utica. The family will greet family and friends in Church at the conclusion of the funeral Mass. All are welcome to join the family for a prayer at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica, at 9:15 a.m. prior to the funeral Mass. Christine will be laid to rest in Holy Trinity Cemetery in Yorkville. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Mother Marianne’s West Side Kitchen, 702 Columbia St., Utica, NY 13502 in Christine’s memory.
