Seasons in the Sun
Goodbye sweet Kim
A trusted friend
Heartstrings so strong it’s hard to see it end
Together we’ve climbed hills and trees
We lived, laughed, loved and ABCs
Skinned our hearts and skinned our knees
Goodbye sweet Kim
I will not cry
When all the birds are singing in the sky
Your spirit felt by those who care
Friends and family are right here
Eternal life rids any fear
We had joy
We had fun
We had seasons in the sun
And the hills that we climbed
Made lasting memories in my mind
Goodbye sweet Kim I’ll pray for thee
You were the best part of our family
Together we had so much fun
Drinking wine and singing songs
We tried our best to get along
Goodbye sweet Kim
I will not cry
When all the birds are singing in the sky
Your spirit felt by those who care
Friends and family are right here
Eternal life rids any fear
We had joy
We had fun
We had seasons in the sun
And the hills that we climbed
Brought tons of joy in our lifetime
Goodbye sweet Kim, my number one!
You gave me love and helped me find the sun
Every time that I was down
You would always come around
And get my feet back on the ground.
Goodbye sweet Kim
I will not cry
When all the birds are singing in the sky
Your spirit felt by those who care
Friends and family are right here
Eternal life rids any fear
We had joy
We had fun
We had seasons in the sun
But the stars we could reach
Were just seashells on the beach
We had joy
We had fun
We had seasons in the sun
But the wine like the song
And the seasons are all gone
All our lives
We had fun
We had seasons in the sun
And the hills that we climbed
Brought tons of joy in our lifetime
Love you!
Aunt Mary Rose

Kimberly was one of the classiest women I've ever met . My fondest memory of her was at proctor park she was always interested in how the people around her were doing. It was never about herself. She would always make you feel like you were the most important person in the room you will be missed. Kimberly

I am so sorry for your loss. I met Kim many years ago when she walked into my first grade classroom to become my student teacher. She was 30 years old and had already managed her own beauty salon business for many years, so that left me very impressed with her maturity level. I also was very taken by her love of children and her natural ability to be a teacher. She was beautiful inside and out. We had a lot fun and I never forgot what a privilege it was to have been her mentor. Many years later, after I retired, I took a job as a college supervisor of student teachers and I was in a Utica School visiting a student and saw a teacher walking down the hall with her class. It was Kim. She recognized me right away as I did her. We hugged. I am forever grateful to have known Kim and to have had such a small part in her wonderful life. May she finally be at peace. I know she is dancing with all the children in heaven.

Although I always saw the Adorino’s playing between the yards when I’d visit Steve Comito, the first time I officially met Kim was after spending a day posing as Andy Brindisi’s cousin “John DeFransico” when we were in the 8th grade. We became immediate friends. I have vivid memories of hitchhiking up the hill during HS during the winter time crashing her sleepovers with William Torri, dancing and singing songs from Queen and Grease with Kim, Rina Stepello, and the rest of the girls. They were sweet innocent times. I always looked forward to seeing her, speaking with her in the hallways of Proctor High almost everyday. We were all so very close. After I left the Utica area, Kim would ask about me when she saw my sister Lisa, and Lisa always remembered to say “Kim Adorino asked about you!” When I was lucky enough to run into Kim, it never felt like a day went by. There was nothing pretentious about her, her intentions were always sincere. I am so very sorry for those that she leaves behind, her close friends, especially her family. Losing a beautiful soul so pure in heart upsets the balance of the world. Kim was not typical, she was better than most, and I am a failure in comparison. The world really was a better place with her in it. I love you my dear friend Kim. May you rest in peace. Johnny Piazza

To the woman who had such a powerful impact and influence on many young students, I thank you. I had Mrs. Montanarelli for the 3rd grade and she was an incredible teacher. Her radiant smile and vibrant personality made her class so memorable. I remember we would frequently play freeze dance around the room and that was my first time hearing Michael Jackson’s music (which she had also sung and danced along to.) I learned how to write my first how-to essay by a demonstration in class of how to make a mango Julius step-by-step. Mrs. Montanarelli had brought in her own blender and ingredients for this. She made this drink in class and had us follow along writing everything out. After the essays were completed, we were all able to enjoy those wonderful drinks. We would frequently be rewarded with pizza parties, candy, and kind affirmative words. One day there was a lockdown in school, and I remember vividly her keys were not working to lock the door. This incredible woman in her high heels, held the door shut even though there was someone on the other end trying to get it. She was slipping, but she did not let up at all. Mrs. Montanarelli was the complete embodiment of a maternal figure at school. She was incredibly loving and nurturing to all of her students; stern and feminine all in one. The connections she had created with each individual student was amazing to experience, and unlike anything I had ever seen. She continuously made learning so much fun. We would regularly have multiplication quizzes in class weekly, and she would reward us with prizes from the store. She regularly taught kindness; not only through examples, but by always demonstrating and displaying it. Her teaching methods were hands down the most effective. She cultivated many young minds to be wiser, and instilled honesty in all of us. She always went above and beyond to make sure her students were having fun while learning. On one of our last days of school, she had planned an outside day for us with water balloons and popsicles. She had very thoughtfully given us photos for memories. Two of my sisters also had the blessing of having her as a teacher. She would frequently tell me a story of my sister; where my sister had stood up to an orchestra teacher, and how incredibly hilarious it was and how proud of my sister she was. My deepest condolences are with her husband and daughter. I know her reward in Heaven will be mighty and seven-fold. Rest in ever-lasting paradise and thank you for everything.

Kimber❤️
My dearest, sweetest friend. The memories of the adventures and experiences we’ve encountered are forever engrained in my mind. From the ages of 4 and 5 we became the best of friends. Through the years, while the setting changed and people came and went, one thing remained constant: our friendship. Through thick and thin we were there for each other, no matter what. ShezBerly forever! We eventually allowed Gina into our special clan and renamed ourselves ShezBerlyGee. It’ll always be us and I hope and pray that Berly and Gee are back together with your Mom and my parents watching over all of us. There are so many beautiful memories I could share. The laughter and tears. My person. Our childhood replicated those you see in wholesome family movies, well aside from the Floral Court Mafia part. Shelley, Kim, Gina, Stacy, Jeff and Tony. All of us growing up on our hill, memories that I reflect upon so often. Our teen years were adventurous and fun. You were that one special person. Those who may not have known you saw a stunningly gorgeous girl but for those that were blessed to really know you knew that the beauty inside far outshone what they seen on the outside. In high school you were the person who was a friend to everyone. No matter what, never judging anyone. Always there to help out. As we entered our twenties we have the memories of all the vacations and excursions we took together. Hands down though, the most precious and unforgettable times spent with you were the years we raised our beautiful girls together, my Ashley and your Alexa. Childhood best friends just like us. Even when I added Stephen and Alyssa to the mix, it didn’t slow us down. Alexa, your pride and joy. She added an extra sparkle to your most beautiful green eyes. There’s no question that Alexa completed your life. Your passion and love for children was admirable and eventually led you to pursue your dream career of becoming a teacher. Maintaining a 4.0 throughout your 6 years of college all while raising Alexa and working 40 plus hours a week operating your own hair salon. I was so proud of you for those accomplishments. Your strength and determination then and throughout your entire life was unparalleled. You faced this horrible disease with so much dignity and grace, never showing an inkling of weakness. I know God doesn’t create perfect people, but in my eyes he did when he created you. Kimber I’ll miss you forever, a piece of me left the moment I found out you left this earth. I love you my friend, more than you’ll ever know.

I met Kim in kindergarten, everyone knows she was the most beautiful girl on the outside, she was more beautiful on the inside. I walked up the hill everyday to see her amazing smile. And I mean every day. I remember one day in the revine...we laughed about it so many times. Now I could cry. We were sitting in the dirt looking down the revine for like 2 hours, I think trev was throwing rocks at me and Gina was laughing. We were like 10, I was scared, all I could think about was her dad was huge and she's so perfect And i never kissed a girl before, After a few hours she said to me, are u gonna kiss me? It was a quick peck on the lips and she smiled.
We have laughed over that our entire lives. How times have changed, we played outside every day and night, I got in trouble most nights because I came home right after the street lights went on.
Kim is one of the most amazing people I have ever met, she's smiling down on all of us, she's with her mom, Gina and everyone lost tooo young.
The Bible guarantees we will be with our family and loved ones in eternity.
My prayers are to Alexa, Stacey, Anthony, Mr adorino and the entire family

The loss of an individual as profoundly gentle and kind as Kimberly has deeply saddened us. Her intelligence was coupled with a loving, selfless spirit that attracted friends in every corner of life. Kim, there are no words to describe how much you will be missed. My heart has been broken once again. We loved you more than we can say. You always lit up a room with your Grace, your beauty and your presence. You were a wonderful true friend and always will be my favorite hairdresser. I love your daughter like my own niece. We will continue to be here for her with anything she needs. Your daughter is just like you. She learned how to love from the best of the best. The care she gave you was remarkable. We can never praise her enough for that especially for someone so young. Please watch over her. You are now an angel on her shoulder along with your Mom. Love Aunt Lor

I remember you used to get on the bus completely put together in your Jordache jeans and pumps. Your hair & makeup was perfect and you smiled at everyone. We were kids. You had that very distinct smile. You were one of the nicest and one of the classiest girls on the EastSide. Always. Even when we weren’t kids anymore. The truth is, you didn’t need the clothes or the makeup because what you left behind, you gave from the inside, clearly. We will all meet our fate, but not all of us will leave behind a legacy of pure beauty like you have. God bless you. My sincerest condolences to the family and the friends that are family.
