Finding it hard to send what all needs to be said, just need to convey our deepest condolences since we were married by Fr. Dan on October 2, 1954. Will be celebrating 70 years. We were both 20 and Fr. Dan was 25 (according to 95 for him). Maybe we were one of his first! We were honored when he baptized our first born, daughter Denise in July 1955. So much to tell - I then served for 23 1/2 years as Parish Secretary at St. Patrick's Church in Chittenango. Lots of many happy memories. May Fr. Dan Rest in Peace.

I remember Father Dan when he and Father Culver were in North Bay and Camden. They spent many evenings with my parents as well as my Grandmother, Freida, who was the house keeper at the rectory. They brought love and laughter into our lives and both Father Culver and Father Dan will serve well in heaven. Prayers for his family.

I was a student at Sacred Heart Church when Fr Heintz arrived to serve our Parish. I will always remember his happy outlook on life and his great sense of humor. He had a great ability to explain how much God loves us all. May he rest in Eternal Peace.

To Fr. Dan's family, fellow priests, and friends:
Fr. Dan's journey on earth is over and now he is Home. May he rest in Eternal Peace.
He was our pastor at St. Mary's in Rome and baptized our youngest, Mary Pat. He was a man's man, was not afraid to speak
out when it was necessary, gave inspiring homilies, and treated the parishioners at St. Mary's as his own 'family.' One of the best memories of Fr. Dan was that he made the best whiskey sours when he had his annual party for the parish volunteers.
God Bless you, Fr. Dan for all those good times and the memories you left us.
Sincerely,
Jim & Terry Dooher
DeWitt, NY

I was in high school when Father Heintz was at Sacred Heart. He was the finest priest that I ever met. Sorry for your loss.
