Obituary of Donald Houston Weston

     Donald Houston Weston, 76, of Utica, NY, passed away on Monday, May 27th, 2024, at Wynn Hospital with his loving family by his side.

     He was born March 4th, 1948, in Rome, NY, son of the late Frank and Mildred Goodman Weston. 

For many years, Donald lived in Maryland and worked for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority. He retired after 30 years and moved back to the Utica/ Rome area to be closer to his family. Donald was friendly and outgoing and could easily strike up a conversation with a stranger. He loved riding motorcycles with his brother Tony, old martial arts and mafia movies, and was a foodie who knew all the best spots for different cuisines.

     He is survived by his brothers Frank and David Weston, his sisters Betty Bodley, Marie Weeks, Doris Goodman, Margret Corley, Debra Rotach, and Denise Brown, and many nieces and nephews. 

He was predeceased by his brothers Tony, Livingston, and Richard Weston, and sister Evelyn King.

     The family would like to offer a heartfelt thank you to the Wynn Hospital ICU department for providing outstanding care to Donald. 

     Visitation for family and friends is Tuesday, June 4, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica, followed by a prayer and time to share memories at 1:00 p.m. at the conclusion of visitation. He will be laid to rest in Forest Hill Cemetery in Utica.
