Obituary of Lois Jeanne Pick

      Mrs. Lois Jeanne Pick, 82, of Deerfield, NY, passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at her home.

     Lois was born in Utica, on January 12, 1942, the daughter of Bernard and Katherine (Faye) Moran. She was raised and educated in Utica and was a 1962 graduate of Utica Free Academy. On July 20, 1963, Lois was united in Marriage with Wesley "Butch" Pick at St. Mary’s Church in Utica, a loving and devoted union of 55 years, until Wesley’s death in 2018. Lois held various jobs over the years while raising her children and in retirement, helped raise her grandchildren. Lois enjoyed playing bingo, was a devout Roman Catholic who attended Mass regularly and her greatest joy was her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

     Mrs. Pick is survived by her three loving daughters, Renne’ Pick of New Mexico, Michelle Jones and her husband Trent of FL and Bernice Cadwell and her husband Bruce of Deerfield; five cherished grandchildren, Wesley Pick-Roth, Andrew Pick-Roth, Brianna Jones, Austin Mercer and Kyle Mercer as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents and husband, Lois was predeceased by her daughter, Lisa Marie Pick and brother, James Moran.

      Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to Lois’ memorial Mass of Christian burial on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 16 Park Ave, Whitesboro. The family will greet visitors at the conclusion of the Mass. She will be laid to rest with her beloved husband and daughter in Evergreen Cemetery in Westmoreland.
