Obituary of Vincent "Scooby" M. Surace

   Vincent “Scooby” M. Surace, 59, of Utica, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2024, at Wynn Hospital with his loving family by his side.

    Vincent was born in Utica, on June 27, 1965, the son of Mary (Horner) Newman and the late Michael P. Surace. He was raised and educated in Utica and was a graduate of Proctor High School. For many years, Vincent was employed with Brucker’s Home Improvement in Utica. In his younger years, he enjoyed downhill skiing and more recently, found joy working on cars. Vincent will most be remembered for his big smile and the love and happiness he shared with others. He was of the Catholic faith.

     Vincent will be sadly missed and is survived by his beloved daughter, Brittany Surace; loving mother, Mary Newman; brothers and sisters, Kelly (Doug) Hutchins, Keith (Ledia) Brucker, Michael Surace, William (Debra) Brucker, Christopher Surace, Stephen (Gina) Surace, Heather (Wayne) Williams and Nita Cobane; an aunt, Carol Romas and an uncle, Dean Surace as well as many additional aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Vincent was predeceased by his father, Michael Surace and sister, Tina Marie Surace.

     There is no visitation, and a private family service will be held.
