Francis “Franny” J. Becraft, Jr., 64, of Utica, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2024, at Wynn Hospital, Utica.

    Franny was born in Utica, on August 30, 1959, the son of the late Francis J. Becraft, Sr. and Carol Talerico.  He was raised and spent his entire life in West Utica.  Franny was a CB radio enthusiast; short range radio voice communication was his past time.  When he was young, like his brothers, enjoyed playing baseball in West Utica.

     Francis is survived by two daughters, brothers Richard and Timothy Becraft, both of Utica, John Becraft and his fiancé Charlene Perrotta, New York Mills, special nieces Jennifer Roberts, Tiffany Nichols, three great nieces Haley, Brooklyn and Brittany Roberts.  He was predeceased by his parents Francis, Carol and sisters Margaret Roberts and Elizabeth Becraft.

        Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to Franny’s funeral service on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at 3PM from Heintz Funeral Service, Inc., 1517 Whitesboro Street, Utica.  Calling Hours will be held prior to funeral service from 1PM-3PM at the funeral home.  Interment will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
