Obituary of Scott Patrick Brady

      Scott Patrick Brady, 46, of Las Vegas, NV, formerly of N. Utica, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 22, 2024, in Las Vegas.

     Scott was born in New Hartford, NY, on March 1, 1978, the son of James D., Sr. and Dona J. (Hollenbeck) Brady. He was raised and educated in Utica, was a graduate of Proctor High School and earned his barber license at Sharp Edgez Barber Institute in Rochester, NY. Scott owned and operated many barber shops in the Utica area and more recently in Las Vegas, NV. He enjoyed sports, his favorite teams being the NY Yankees and NY Giants, he was an outdoor enthusiast and loved to be where the “action was”. Scott will most be remembered as a loyal friend with a huge heart and personality bigger than life, who was always the first to help anyone in need.

     Scott is survived by his three children, Austin (Paige) Brady of Herkimer, Brianna Brady of Utica and Bryson Brady of Utica; cherished granddaughter, Madisyn Brady; his mother, Dona Brady of N. Utica; two brothers, James (Paula Zaleski) Brady of N. Utica and Sean (Jaime Crowe) Brady of Sauquoit; nieces and nephews, Patty (Nick) Giotto, Samantha Brady and her fiancée, Jordan Wright, Sean “Homie” Brady and his fiancée, Aly Charlebois, Patrick (Monica Cook) Brady, Jeremy Brady, Kyleigh Brady, McKenzie Brady, Brandon Zaleski and Joshua Zaleski; aunts and uncles, Judy (Ken) Siegfried, Tracey (James) Kirk, William (Candy) Hollenbeck, Robert (Chris) Hollenbeck and Roger (Sandra) Brady; sister-in-law, Tammy Brady and the mother of his children( Austin and Brianna), Amy Harris as well as great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends too numerous to mention.  He was predeceased by his father, James Brady, Sr; maternal grandparents, William and Marie Hollenbeck; paternal grandparents, DeLos and Josephine Brady; aunt and uncle, Linda and Bill Sprague and aunt and uncle, Gail and Don DeRosa.

     Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, August 25, 2024 from 2:00-4:00 p.m.at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica, followed by a prayer service and time to share wonderful memories at 4:00 p.m. at the conclusion of visitation.
