Obituary of Marco F. Indolfi
Mr. Marco F. Indolfi, 68, from the Town of Floyd, passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at the Wynn Hospital, Utica after a courageous battle with cancer. At the time of his passing his loving family was by his side.
Marco was born in Utica, NY on November 10, 1955, the son of the late Marco and Nancy (Cocomazzi) Indolfi. He was raised and educated in Utica and was a graduate of Thomas R. Proctor High School. Marco proudly served in the US Navy and was honorably discharged after his faithful service. On April 10, 1981, Marco was united in marriage to Deborah Hammill, a loving and devoted union of 43 years. Marco will be remembered by his many friends and coworkers at Special Metals where he worked as a machinist for 35 years until his retirement.
Marco was grateful for his daily visits with his friends at George Nassar’s Floyd Food Center and enjoyed his trips with his wife to the Turning Stone Casino, playing numerous games but especially Let It Ride. He loved watching old movies in his spare time, but his favorite time was spent with his family. Marco’s fondness for teasing his loved ones brought many laughs and smiles over the years, but his most pleasurable moments were those shared with his three adored grandchildren.
