Obituary of Ann F. Lash

    Ann F. Lash, 88, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at Rome Health Hospital Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

     Ann was born in Utica, NY, daughter of Clarence and Rose (Jaycox) Murphy.  She received her education at St. Francis de Sales, class of 1954.

     On August 3, 1957, Ann was united in marriage to Lawrence Lash.  They were married for 60 years and blessed with a large family.  Ann was a homemaker, she loved country music and line dancing, she had a love of animals, drawing and gardening.  Ann was very proud to be president of her local AARP Division in Boonville, NY.

     Ann is survived by her daughters, Sandra Myers, Marcy; Jean (Kevin) Ingalls, West Winfield; Joann (Todd) Everett, Virginia; Lauri Goppert, Rome; Mary (Tim) Bailey, North Carolina; Julie (Scott) Sullivan, West Winfield; and sons Lawrence Lash, Madison; and William Lash, Westmoreland; 18 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren; and one great, great grandchild.

     Ann is predeceased by her husband Lawrence in 2017; son-in-law Raymond Goppert; great grandson Shane Nichols; a brother Richard Murphy; and sister Patricia Schwingle.

     In keeping with Ann’s wishes, there will be no calling hours.  Ann’s Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Patrick’s Church, Forestport, NY on Friday, August 23, 2024, at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
