Obituary of Dolores J. Flagg

      Mrs. Dolores J. Flagg, 82, of Deerfield, passed away on Monday, September 16, 2024 at Wynn Hospital in Utica.

     Dolores was born in Rome, NY, on May 18, 1942, the daughter of Howard and Ora (Laduc) Beasock. She was raised and educated in Rome and Utica and was a graduate of Utica Free Academy. On February 3, 1961, Dolores was united in marriage with Wayne V. Flagg, Sr., a devoted union of 38 years until Wayne’s death in 1999. In 2005 Dolores married Mirek Kierzek. At one time, Dolores was employed with Mele Manufacturing in Utica, later with G&I Homes and lastly with Herkimer Wholesale. She enjoyed bowling, country music and WWE wrestling. She also enjoyed watching soap operas, reading the newspaper and was a big Elvis Presley fan. Dolores was a member of St. Joseph & St. Patrick Church in Utica.

     Mrs. Flagg is survived by her seven children, Wayne Flagg, Jr., of Deerfield, Robert Flagg of Deerfield, Mark Flagg of Utica, Melissa and Thomas Lamach of Utica, Tracey Roberts and Kevin Rothstein of Utica, Rebecca and William Klein of Deerfield and Lisa Flagg and her fiancé Joey Dale of Rome; one sister, Millie Lints of Utica; as well as Mirek Kierzek of Utica and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephew and her feline companion, Tiger. Besides her husband Wayne, Dolores was predeceased by two brothers, James Beasock and Eugene Beasock and one sister, Mary Ellen Beasock.

     Visitation for family and friends is Monday, September 23, 2024 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica, followed by a service at 6:00 p.m. at the conclusion of visitation. She will be laid to rest in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Whitesboro. Those wishing to donate in Dolores’ memory, please consider the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

     Mrs. Flagg’s family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Dolores’ ICU nurse at Wynn Hospital, Alexandra Levinsky for the Loving care you provided.
