Obituary of Frederick P. Aiken

Mr. Frederick P. Aiken, Jr., 55, of Chadwicks, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 30, 2015. Frederick was born in New Hartford on February 10, 1960 the son of Frederick P. and Susan (Baye) Aiken, Sr. He was raised and educated locally, was a graduate of Utica Free Academy and attended Mohawk Valley Community College and Herkimer County Community College. On October 17, 2015, Frederick married Carol M. Hulland. At one time, Fred was employed with M-Corp and more recently with Italian Chef in Utica. Fred was an outdoor enthusiast and enjoyed snowmobiling, camping, hiking, cookouts, motorcycles and cooking. He will be remembered as an animal lover and above all else as a man who loved his family. He was of the Protestant faith. Mr. Aiken is survived by his beloved wife, Carol; daughter, Ally Aiken of Mt. Vision, NY; son, Pete Aiken of MA; his father, Frederick P. Aiken, Sr. of Utica; 3 step-daughters, Shannon Sykes of Utica, Nicole Cannon and her husband James of Oneonta and Ashley Freda and her husband Greg of Long Island; step-son, Scott Sykes of Marcy; sister and brother-in-law, Cheryl and Jon Schultz of Waterville, 2 brothers and one sister-in-law, Mark and Randa Aiken of Utica and Paul Aiken of Utica; a half brother, Andy John Timperlake of Leonardsville, NY as well as several aunts, uncle, cousins, nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly and his two feline companions, Casper and Maggie. He was predeceased by his mother, Susan and brother, Jeffery. Services and burial in Crown Hill Memorial Park will be held privately at the convenience of his family.
