Ms. Tawanya Q. Woods, 50, of Utica, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at Wynn Hospital, Utica.

     Tawanya was born in Brooklyn, NYC, on April 19, 1974, the daughter of Sherman and Carolyn Woods.  Tawanya was raised and educated most of her young life in Brooklyn before moving to Utica.  Tawanya was a loving person and will be missed by all that know her.  She loved spending time with children, grandchildren and her church family.

     She is survived by her children Cecil Plamer, Frankfort, NY, Dontya and Precious Woods, Queens, NY, Keithon Miller, Utica, Joshua Dunkin, siblings Tabatha Woods and Tammy Dickson, Brooklyn, Russell Woods, all of Brooklyn, NY, Leroy Tuff, Utica, eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her parents Sherman, Carolyn and a son Kenneth Smith.

     Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to Tawanya funeral service on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at 11AM, from Heintz Funeral Service, Inc., 1517 Whitesboro Street, Utica, NY.  Visitation will be held prior to her funeral service from 10AM till the time of the service.  Interment will take place at the convenience of the family.
