Louis "Louie" DelMonico Obituary

      “Leftie Louie” DelMonico passed away at his home November 19, 2024.


    Born in New York City, August 5, 1941, Louie was one of many children of Frank & Nellie (Grandinetta) DelMonico and received his education in local schools, Louie worked for many years at Ethan Allen Carriage House in Utica, New York. In 1963, he was married to Elaine A. Salerno. Their 22-year union produced one son, Marc, of Baltimore, Maryland.


      Well-known to many, Louie did manual jobs for area businesses and friends and was a groundskeeper for Valley View Golf Course in Utica.


       He is survived by his son, his brother Angelo of Utica, and sisters, Marie, of Utica, Lucile, of Syracuse, New York, and Frances, of Bangor, Maine.


       Per Louie’s request, there is no memorial service or interment. There will be a private remembrance ceremony for family.
