Obituary of Lily H Weaver

Mrs. Lily H. Weaver, 95, Town of New Hartford, NY passed away peacefully on Monday November 25, 2024, at the Presbyterian Home, with her loving daughter and son-in-law by her side.

     Lily was born in Malone, NY on February 7, 1929, the daughter of the late Roy and Estella (Williams) Hunkins.  She was a graduate of Sauquoit Valley High School.  In 1964 she was united in marriage to Fred G. Weaver in Utica, a blessed union of nearly 51 years.  Mr. Weaver predeceased Lily on January 23, 2015.  Lily was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, Clark Mills, NY. Since the age of 18, Lily was very active in the missionary society. Lily enjoyed being the treasurer of The Church of the Nazarene for 25 years. For many years, she worked at The Bank of Utica. She excelled at cooking and baking, always making her home a welcoming place for friends and family to gather.

     Lily is survived by her loving daughter Estelle Craven and her husband Stephen, East Greenbush, NY, her beloved grandchildren Amanda, Emily and Michael, sister Beverly Farr, Port Leyden, NY, brother Harlan Hunkins and his wife Carolyn, Old Forge, NY and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her parents Roy and Estella, husband Fred, sister Gloria LaFountain, brothers Watson and Robert Hunkins.

     Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to Lily’s funeral service on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at 2PM from Heintz Funeral Service, Inc., 408 Herkimer Road, Utica.  Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service 1PM-2PM from the funeral home.  She will be laid to rest with her husband Fred in Forest Hill Cemetery, Oneida Street, Utica, NY
