    Kenneth C. Hobin, Jr, 55, of Utica, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2024, after a long courageous battle with cancer.

    Kenneth was born in Utica, on August 23, 1969, the son of Kenneth C. Hobin, Sr and Mary M. (Mould) Bohling, and received his education in Utica schools. Kenny was employed as a taxi driver and dispatcher for various cab companies in the Utica area and most recently as an Uber driver. Kenny was an avid bowler who proudly rolled numerous 300 games in his career. He also enjoyed golf, NASCAR and was a huge NY Yankees and Jets fan. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, Fort Schuyler post 1290 in Utica, Amvets Post 384 in Utica and especially loved being a member of the Social Athletics Club (SAC) in Utica.  

    Kenny is survived by his daughter, Karen Hobin; siblings, Robert Hobin (Laura Miazga), Deborah and Donald Testa, Karen and Ed Lipinski and Rebecca and Lee Comstock as well as several nieces, nephews and numerous friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Kenneth Hobin, Sr. and Mary Bohling and an infant brother.

     Visitation for family and friends is Thursday, December 5, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica.

     Kenny’s family extends their heartfelt gratitude to, Dawn Keil, Scotty St. Onge and Joe Moorehead for the friendship you shared with Kenny as well as the care you provided to him during his illness. Your kindness will not be forgotten.
