Shirley M. Bolster, 74, of Utica, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at the Oneida Center, Utica.

     Shirley was born in Westdale, NY, on September 19, 1950, the daughter of the late Robert and Bernice (Darling) Bolster.  Shirley was raised in Westdale and graduated from Camden High School.  Shirley was a self-employed seamstress, which she was very gifted at.  She made, repaired and made alterations to all forms of apparel and fabric.  Shirley was also a great gardener, had a green thumb and could bring any plant back from the dead.

     Shirley is survived by her daughter Cynthia Aldrich and her husband Lance, son Sean Finnerty, both of Rome, sisters Anne Pittsley, FL, Patricia Copeland, Oswego, NY, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and as well as her lifelong friend Debbie and close friends Leo, Jamie and JoJo.  She was predeceased by a daughter Heather Stevens, siblings Robert, John, Nancy and Helen.

     In keeping with Shirley’s wishes, there is no formal visitation or services. She will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery, Williamstown, NY.  Arrangements are under the direction of Heintz Funeral Services, Inc., 1517 Whitesboro Street, Utica, NY.
