Obituary of Irma T. Tuttle
Mrs. Irma T. Tuttle, 86, a lifelong Town of Marcy resident, passed away at her home with her loving family by her side, after a 3-year battle with kidney disease.
Irma was born on May 19, 1938, the daughter of the late Albert and Emma Louise (Dispirito) Richard. She was educated at Whitesboro Central School and graduated in 1956. On June 7, 1958, Irma was united in marriage to Robert D Tuttle at St. Peter’s Church North Utica, they shared a loving and devoted union of 66 and half years.
She dedicated herself to raising her family and was an amazing cake decorator as well as an amazing baker and cook. She loved making Sunday Family dinners, as well as a house full of company. She loved sitting on her front Porch Swing, rocking her grandchildren to sleep and reading her favorite books.
Irma is survived by her loving husband Robert, daughters, Dora D. Tuttle, Yorkville Deborah (John) Constas, Yorkville, son Scott (Michelle) Tuttle, New Hartford. sister Neva (Lance Boyer) Las Vegas, NV., brothers Wayne (Cynthia) Richard, Remsen, Jack Richard, Rockledge, Florida, grandchildren, Andrea T. (Joe) Balentine, Texas, Joshua A. Giangolini, Syracuse, Joseph R. (Alexandria) Giangolini, Syracuse, Zachary J. Constas, Yorkville, Kyle J. Tuttle & fiancé Jasmine, Chadwicks, Jessica C. Tuttle, N.C. and Christopher G Constas, (UCP) Ilion of which she shared a very special bond with. He was her “Special Boy”, great grandchildren, Ryan M Murray, Tanner, Tatum, and Wesley Balentine, Joseph R. Giangolini Jr. In-laws- Elaine Johnson, and Donald (Ellen) Tuttle several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her very special close friend, Nancy Buttenschon, who shared a wonderful friendship, and many beautiful visits with mom on the porch Swing. Irma was predeceased by her son John A Tuttle, her father Albert Richard sister Diania lee Boyer, brother Albert Richard, brother -in-law Jerome Johnson and her father- in law, Mother - in -law John R and Eleanor Tuttle.
In keeping with Irma’s wishes, there is no formal visitation or services. She will be laid to rest in Carr Cemetery, Town of Marcy, in the spring.
