Marion Norton, 97, of Utica, passed away on Christmas morning, Wednesday, December 25, 2024, at the Masonic Care Community, Utica.

     Marion was born in Utica on May 9, 1927, the daughter of the late Saad and Nazera (Shehadi) Nojeim.  Marion spent her whole life in Utica, where she was raised and was a graduate of Utica Free Academy.  After high school she continued her education and received her registered nursing degree.  She spent the following years in the private sector working as a private registered nurse.

     She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and then Mary, Mother of Our Savior Parish.

     Marion is survived by her beloved son, Paul Norton, Utica, niece, Joan Bernert, nephews Russell and John Aramony and William S. and Robert Aramony.  She was predeceased by her parents Saad and Nazera, her sisters Freida Nojeim, Isabel Nojeim, Eleanor Aramony, and Bebe Aramony, and her niece Susan Aramony.

     The family wishes to thank Lillian, Karen Bower and the Masonic Staff for their kind and loving care.

     A private memorial mass will be held, and she will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery at the convenience of her family.
