Obituary of Valerie May Levett

     Mrs. Valerie May Levett, 68, of Waterville, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at Wynn Hospital with her loving family by her side.

     Valerie was born in Utica, on May 26, 1956, the daughter of Stanley and Patricia (Thibault) Villeneuve. She was raised and educated in Utica, was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School and earned her associate’s degree in mechanical engineering and drafting from Mohawk Valley Community College. On August 3, 1994, Valerie was united in marriage with Kenneth Mark Levett, a loving and devoted union of 30 years. At one time, Valerie was employed with Butterfield House restaurant in Holland Patent and for many years, was the co-owner and operator, along with her mother Patricia of Pizza Café in Philadelphia, NY. Valerie enjoyed arts and crafts, loving tending to her fruit and vegetable garden, was a talented fan fiction writer for Dragon Writers of Pern and was of the Catholic faith. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great granddaughter who were the light of her life.

     Mrs. Levett is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth; five children, Tiffany (Abdoul) Yatassaye of NC, Chad Levett of Utica, Jared David Levett of Waterville, and Troy Thomas (Kendra) Levett of Mohawk; her cherished grandchildren, Alexa, Isaiah, Isaac, DonnaLee, Dannielle, Cylis and Forrest; her adored great granddaughter, OliahLee Marie; sister, Annette (James) Simpson of New Hartford and brother, Allen Villeneuve of Utica as well as several nieces and nephews.

     Visitation for family and friends is Wednesday, January 1, 2025, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica followed by a time to share beautiful memories at 4:00 p.m. at the conclusion of Visitation.
