Obituary of Maryann "Macc" Graham

Please share a memory of Maryann to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Mrs. Maryann “Macc” Graham, 71, of Utica, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 31, 2024.

Maryann was born in Utica, on February 25, 1953, the daughter of Joseph and Amelia “Joan” (Kanches) Clerrico. She was raised in Utica, was a graduate of Proctor High School and received her registered nursing degree from Mohawk Valley Community College. Maryann furthered her education earning her bachelor’s degree from SUNY IT. On May 21, 1977, Maryann was united in marriage with Michael F. Graham at St. Peter’s Church in Utica, a loving and devoted union of 47 years. At one time, Maryann was employed as an RN with Broadacres Skilled Nursing facility in Deerfield, and for 35 years, with Oneida County Office for the Aging, retiring in 2008.

Maryann enjoyed traveling with her family, her morning coffee and puzzles, dinner dates with friends, the occasional cosmo or apple martini and a nice glass of wine, her critters, all her “grand” dogs, cats and chickens (affectionately known as “her ladies”) and she especially loved her trips to Walt Disney World in Florida and staying at her “Home” - the Grand Floridian. However, Maryann’s greatest joy was being a Nana to her beloved grandchildren, Bria and Ryan. Supporting them in everything that they did was most important in her life.  From traveling to watch Bria play soccer to spending all the time she could with her “snuggle buddy” Ryan, you would find her at every event they had.  She would go to the ends of the world for them, never wanting to miss a single second of their lives.

Maryann is survived by her loving husband, Michael; two cherished daughters, Erin (Justin) Nackley of New Hartford and Kayla (George) DeAngelo of Whitesboro; her adored grandchildren, Bria Nackley and Ryan Nackley; nephews and nieces, Don (Pat) Laribee and their son, Don (Marita) Laribee; Gary Laribee and his children, Duane (Sara) Laribee, Justin (Huynh) Laribee and Lindsey (Gary) Biddlecome; Regina Denny and her children, Rachael Cicigline and Cari Denny; Joanne (Art) Cacciotti and their children, Aldo (Stacy) Cacciotti, Paul (Priscilla) Cacciotti, Angelo (Allison) Cacciotti and Joey (Kristin) Cacciotti; Chris Mineo; Bobby Mineo and his children, Isaiah Mineo, Autumn Mineo and Benny Mineo and Jimm Mineo’s widow, Carrie and her children, Kristopher and Jack; brother-in-law, Jack Mineo and brother, Albert Clerrico; She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Joan; brother, Albert Joseph Clerrico who was killed in action in World War II and brother and sister-in-law Joseph C. and Josephine (Scavo) Clerrico; sister and brother-in-law, Rita (Laribee) and Vincent Sarnacki; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Marylou and Walter Graham; sister-in-law, Sheila Mineo and nephew, Jimm Mineo.

We would also like to acknowledge some very special people in her life.   Denise Buczek, her lifelong best friend; Mary Abraham, the best hairdresser in the world and her confidant; Niamh Binead, her “daughter” from Ireland and family; all her corvette club family; and her dearest friends Angela and Dave, Allison and Pat, and Barb and Joe who she enjoyed many special times with.

The family also extends their appreciation to the Utica Fire Department, Utica Police Department and the Emergency room staff at Wynn Hospital for the care they rendered to Maryann and the compassion they showed to her family.
