Mrs. Lonnie (Milham) Deon, 86, of Utica, went home peacefully to be with the Lord, as she passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, with her loving sons by her side.
Lonnie was born in Utica, on July 15, 1938, the daughter of the late A. David and Minnie (Deep) Milham. She was raised in Utica and was a graduate of T.R. Proctor High School, class of 1956. Lonnie was united in marriage with Frank Deon on October 25, 1958, with whom she shared 46 years in a union blessed with love, and admiration until Frank’s death on March 8, 2004. She was employed with (RADC) at Griffiss Air Force Base, retiring in 1995 after 36 years of dedicated service.
Lonnie was a woman of strong faith and a devoted communicant of St. Anthony & St. Agnes Church in Utica as well as a member of the St. Cosmos & Damian Society. She felt blessed to have sons who loved, honored and adored her to her last day.
Mrs. Deon is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Frank Deon, Jr. and Stephen and Stephanie Deon; her cherished grandson, Nicholas Deon; her sisters, Mildred Tamer and Libby Merhib and her sister-in-law, Mora Milham. Also left to remember her are her nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her cherished grandson, Joseph Deon and 2 brothers, Michael Milham and William Milham.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to Lonnie’s funeral Mass of Christian burial on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at 12:00 noon at St. Anthony & St. Agnes Church, 422 Tilden Ave., Utica. She will be laid to rest with her beloved husband in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum in Utica.
