Mr. Daniel K. Burdick, 77, of Utica, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at the Wynn Hospital, Utica, N.Y.

     Daniel was born in Utica on June 7, 1947, the son of the late Alton and Ruth (McKelvey) Burdick. Daniel was raised in Old Forge, NY and graduated from the class of 1965. He attended MVCC and received an associate’s degree in computer science. On September 19, 1987, he was united in marriage with Kathleen Kenny, a loving and devoted union of 37 years. In his spare time enjoyed stamp collecting, cooking and reading.

     He is survived by his loving wife Kathleen, son Bryan Burdick, Utica, sister Heidi Burdick Spartano, Selkirk, NY, brother Sherrill “Butch” Burdick and his wife Linda, Rome, NY, grandson Devon Fitzgerald and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Alton and Ruth, stepfather John McKelvey, daughter Dawn Fitzgerald, grandson Dylan Fitzgerald, sister Barbara Schultz and brother Lawrence Burdick.

     In keeping with Daniel’s wishes there will be no formal service or calling hours at this time. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family.
