Norma Jeanne Lawton, 76, of Whitesboro passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2015 in Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare with her loving daughters Laurie and Gail by her side. Norma was born in Deansboro, NY a daughter of the late George and Ida (Galler) Diehl. In Hamilton, NY on February 23, 1957 she married Charles H. Lawton. He passed away on February 20, 1998. For many years Norma was employed with Hamilton Digital. Norma is survived by her two daughters, Laurie Radell and husband Albert Sr., of Marcy and Gail Ferguson and husband Michael, of Whitesboro, four grandchildren, Albert Jr. and Justin Radell and Michael Jr. and Marni Ferguson, five half brothers, Alan, Carl, Robin, Randy and Barry Diehl and her feline companion, Baby. Norma was predeceased by a son, Steven Charles Lawton in 1979 and two sisters, Beverly Velez and Dorris Bertram. A funeral service for Mrs. Lawton will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica. Calling hours at the funeral home are Wednesday from 6-7. Please omit flowers. Those so wishing may make donations to the Stevens-Swan Humane Society in Norma's memory.
