Mr. James Walter Beasock, Sr., 72, a resident of the St. Luke's Home in New Hartford, passed away on Thursday December 17, 2015 at the nursing home. James was born in Utica on May 20, 1943, the son of Howard and Ora (Laduc) Beasock and received his education in Utica schools. On July 16, 1966, James married Nancy J. Murray at St. Francis de Sales Church in Utica, a devoted union of 36 years until Nancy's death in 2002. At one time, James was employed with Divine Brothers, later with Special Metals and more recently with Laidlaw Bus company until his retirement. James was an member of the former St. Francis de sales Church in Utica. He was an avid bowler and member of the Utica Auxiliary Police. Mr. Beasock is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Bernardo Solorio of KY; two sons and one daughter-in-law, James, Jr. and Kathryn Beasock of MD and David Beasock of MD; seven cherished grandchildren, Adam Beasock and his fiancée Isabel Macial, Ricky Solorio, Christopher Beasock, Hunter Beasock, Briseida Solorio, Marissa Solorio and Austin Beasock; two adored great grandchildren, Eric Beasock and Adrian Beasock; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Mary Ellen Beasock of New Hartford, Dolores and Mrick Kierzek of Deerfield and Millie and Joseph Lints of Utica; one brother and sister-in-law, Eugene and Linda Beasock of Utica as well as several nieces and nephews. Mr. Beasock's funeral will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica. His burial will be in Sauquoit Valley Cemetery in Clayville. Calling hours for family and friends are Monday from 4:00-7:00 p.m.
