Frank H. Bohrer, 93, passed away at St. Elizabeth Medical Center on December 14, 2015. Frank was born on August 18,1922, the son of Frank and Glenna (VanHuben) Bohrer. He was raised and educated in the Rochester area. After completing school, Frank joined the US Army Air Force serving from 1942 until 1946. In Utica, on October 27, 1945, Frank was married to Lillian Eilers. Mrs Bohrer died May 29,2015. For a number of years, until he retired, Frank was employed at Eden Park Nursing Home. He was a member of St. Joseph and St. Patrick's Church, Utica and the American Legion Post 229, of Utica. Frank is survived by three daughters and two sons in law, Christine and Dwight Robinson of Floyd, Janice Bohrer of Utica, Patricia and Charles Carr of Utica; one son and daughter in law, John and Barbara Bohrer of Clinton; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; and a sister and brother in law, Patricia and David Howe of VA. and FL. Besides his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Floyd Bohrer. Mr. Bohrer's Funeral will be held Thursday, December 17, 2015 at 9:15 am, at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St. Utica, and at 10:00 am at St. Joseph and St. Patrick Church, Utica where his Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Frank will be entombed at St. Joseph's Cemetery Mausoleum in Yorkville. Calling hours for family and friends are Wednesday (today) from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Donations in Frank's memory, would be appreciated St. Joseph and St. Patrick Church or to Mother Marianne West Side Kitchen.
