Mr. Steven M. Kelly, 55, of Utica, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 8, 2015. Steven was born in Utica, on December 18, 1959 the son of Winston and Joan (Kennerknecht) Kelly and was a graduate of Whitesboro HS. At one time, Steven was employed in his family's business, Utica Floor Maintenance, later as owner/operator of TBM Industries and was also a roofer and general contractor. Steven was a sports enthusiast and especially enjoyed golf. He attended Mass at Our Lady of The Rosary Church in New Hartford. Over the past few years, he devoted much of his time lovingly caring for his mother. Mr. Kelly is survived by three sons and one daughter-in-law, Matthew and Kristie Kelly of Rome, Patrick Michael Kelly of Clinton and Christian T. Kelly of Whitesboro; his parents, Winston Kelly of Melbourne, FL and Joan Kelly of Utica; four cherished grandchildren, Peyton, Jamie, Iris and Brendon; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Diane and Todd Kogut of Clinton, Norma Jean and Tom Rice of New Hartford and Colleen and George Clemons of New Hartford as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by an infant son, Nathaniel Kelly. Mr. Kelly's funeral will be held on Friday, November 13, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of The Rosary Church in New Hartford, where his Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. His Rite of Committal and burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Whitesboro. Calling hours for family and friends are Thursday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica.
