Obituary of Lucille M. Falk

Lucille M. Falk, 89, of Clinton, passed away Friday, September 4, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, with her family by her side. Lucille was born September 8, 1925 in Utica, the daughter of George and Eleanor (Edic) Albicker. She was raised and educated in Utica, graduating from Utica Catholic Academy. On September 6, 1947, Lucille married William J. Falk, in Blessed Sacrament Church, Utica, sharing a blessed union that was only two days shy of sixty-eight years. She had been employed with the Boy Scouts of America and then later with Dr. Harry Davis and Albicker Real Estate. Lucille was a member of St. Mary's Church in Clinton. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Independent Homemakers. Lucille had a passion for quilting. She not only belonged to a quilting club, but took great enjoyment in making quilts for all of her family. Lucille is survived by her beloved husband, William J. Falk, Clinton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Janice and Jan Pezdek, Clinton, Martha and Leo Devine, Clinton; three sons and four daughters-in-law, Peter and Sara Falk, MA, Stephen and Carol Falk, Brownville, NY, Eric Falk and Linda Dayan, CA, Elizabeth Falk, CA; ten cherished grandchildren, Jessica and Matthew Pezdek, Alyssa, Leo, Jenna, and Jack Devine, Alexander Falk, Brian (and Linda), Gary, and Kevin Falk; one great grandchild, Benjamin Falk. She is also survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Eleanor and William Corrigan, Kayuta Lake, as well as several beloved nieces and nephews, including Elaine Lopata, flower girl at the wedding. Lucille was predeceased by a daughter, MaryAnn; a son, Michael; and three brothers, Norman, Francis and George Albicker. Lucille's funeral will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at 9:30 am at St. Mary's Church, Clinton, where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Clinton, will take place privately at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Heintz Funeral Home, 10 East Park Row, Clinton on Monday, from 4 - 7 pm. Those wishing may donate to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Lucille's memory.
