April J. Sauter, 68, of Utica, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2015 at her home with her family by her side. April was born April 13, 1947, the daughter of John J. and Elaine J. (Tibbitts) Sauter. She was raised and educated locally, and had been employed with Mohawk Valley Psychiatric Center in Utica. April was of the Methodist faith. April is survived by her daughter and her companion, Melissa Sauter and Rich Neri, Utica; three grandchildren, Ashlee Rolchigo, GA, Brandon Sauter, Utica, Gianna Neri, Utica; one great grandchild, Brandon Sauter, Jr.; a sister and brother-in-law, Lori and Merill Constantine, Utica; two brothers, Edwin Sauter, TX, Paul Sauter and his companion, Alice Deming. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and dear friends, including her best friend, Denise Doolen, Utica. Funeral services for April are being held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica.
