Oriskany - Betty M. Dalla, 85, of Oriskany, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at the St. Luke's Home in New Hartford, after a brief stay. Betty was born September 11, 1929, in Boonville, NY, the daughter of Frederick and Ethel (Williams) Duvelow. She was married to Vincent P. Dalla, who predeceased her in 2010. Betty was of the Methodist faith. She truly loved her dogs. Betty is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Robert Young, Whitesboro, Donna and Walter Jones, Whitesboro, Susan and James Goodison, Stittville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Susan Mitchell, Whitesboro, Dennis and Kathryn Mitchell, Oriskany; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Marlene Sharron, Rome. Betty is predeceased by a sister, Marjorie Duvelow, a brother, Arthur Duvelow, and her ex-husband, George Mitchell. Mrs. Dalla's funeral will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place in Oriskany Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica. The family would like to offer their thanks and heartfelt appreciation to the nurses and staff of the Barton North Wing of St. Luke's Home for the care and compassion shown to Betty during her stay.
