Lillian D. Fiore, 80, of Utica passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2015, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, surrounded by her loving family. Lillian was born in Utica on March 23, 1935, a daughter of George Rausch and Blanche Rausch Nicotera and Eugene Nicotera. On April 23, 1955, she was united in marriage to Joseph Vincent Fiore Jr., a blessed union of 48 years, until his passing in 2003. Lillian was employed by the Utica Police Department as a Crossing Guard then for many years until her retirement she was employed in the rectory at Sacred Heart Church. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph-St. Patrick Church and Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Lillian is survived by her children, Diana and Terry Benkowski, Richard and Lisa Fiore, Joseph and Lou Ann Fiore, Francis Fiore and Jennifer Maloney, and Michael and Diane Fiore, ten grandchildren, Joan Cassevah and Lucas Carrier, Rob and Rachael Evans, Jennifer Fiore, Nicholas and Alexandra Fiore, Joseph Fiore and Jessica Esper, Madelyn, McKenzie, Franky, Caitlin and Michael Fiore, 3 great grandchildren, Shawn, Alyssa and Claire, a sister, Doris Deming, a brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Carol Rausch, special friends, The Cieslak Family and many nieces and nephews. Lillian was predeceased by her parents and step-father, a sister and brother-in-law, Joan and John Lucianatelli, a brother-in-law, Alden Deming, a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Anthony and Anna May Lopiccolo, a niece, Regina Light and her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Joseph and Catherine Fiore Sr. Mrs. Fiore's funeral mass will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 11:00 at St. Joseph-St. Patrick Church. The family will greet visitors at the conclusion of the mass. Entombment will take place in St. Joseph Mausoleum. Those so wishing may make donations to Hospice and Palliative Care or the Steven-Swan Humane Society in Lillian's memory.
