Patricia A. Lemke, 76 of North Utica, wife of the late Gerald Lemke passed away unexpectedly on May 24,2015 with her family at her side. Pat was born in Utica, NY on July 28, 1938 the daughter of Arthur and Nellie (Benton) Ellis. She was raised and educated in Utica, and was a graduate of UCA. On October 21, 1961 at St. Patrick's Church, Utica, Pat was married to Gerald Lemke. Mr. Lemke passed away in 2014. For several years, until her retirement , Pat was employed by the NY Telephone Co., ending as chief operator. She was a member of St. Joseph and St. Patrick's Church, Utica, a member of the telephone pioneers, and an avid fan of the Univ. of Syracuse Basketball Team. Pat's favorite memories and times came from being with her grandchildren. Patricia is survived by one Daughter, Geri Lemke of N. Utica; two sons, Michael and his wife Tamy Lemke of VA Beach, and John Lemke of Utica; five grandchildren, Lindsey, Morgan, Alex, Aidan, and Lauren Lemke; two brothers and their wives, Joseph and Diane Ellis of S.C., and Art and Phyllis Ellis of New Hartford, a sister in law, Mary (Robert) Benedetti of Clark, NJ., and a brother in law, Roger and Patricia Lemke of Whitesboro. Pat was predeceased by her husband , her parents, and recently her good friend, Joyce Robinson. The Lemke family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to a special cousin Suzanne Fradette and close friends Carol Gollegly, Mary Lane, Nancy Jones and Mary Scully for all their Care and kindness. Mrs. Lemke's Funeral will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at 10:45 am from the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., Utica and at 11:30 at St. Joseph and St. Patrick's Church, Utica, where her Mass of Christian Burial will be cellabrated. Her burial will be at St. Agnes Cemetery, Utica. Visitation will from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home, 408 Herkimer Rd., Utica, Wednesday evening. Donations in lieu of flowers, would be appreciated to either the Thea Bowman House or the Mother Marianne West Side Soup Kitchen in Pat's memory.
