Louis W. "Skeeter" Buttenschon, 61, Utica, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at his home. Skeeter was born December 13, 1953 in Utica, the son of Maynard and Florence (Juliano) Buttenschon. He was raised and educated in Utica and was employed with Tect Power in Whitesboro. On December 9, 1978, Louis married Christine Christman. He was of the Catholic faith. Skeeter enjoyed fishing and camping. Louis is survived by his wife, Christine Buttenschon, Utica; two sons, Carl and Robert Buttenschon, both of Utica; three grandchildren, Latrell Buttenschon, Alex Buttenschon, and Jordan Roth; four sisters, Mary Mattice, Utica, Rose Thompson, Utica, Josephine (& Walter) Kurgan, New York Mills, Anita (& Paul) Cleveland, Westmoreland; his father-in-law, Thomas Christman, Sr., Utica; a brother-in-law, Thomas Christman, Jr., Floyd, three sisters-in-law, Barbara (& Steven) King, KY, Brenda (& Richard) Sents, Cassville, Karen and Michael Bass, OH; as well as by several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Buttenschon. Memorial Visitation for Mr. Buttenschon will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica, from 4 - 6 pm.
