Carol A. Renninger, 87, a resident of the Presbyterian home for CNY, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the nursing home. Carol was born in Pottsville, PA on March 12, 1928 the daughter of James and Maude (Miller) Kopp and received her education in PA. For over 25 Years, she was employed as a registrar with Utica College until her retirement. Carol enjoyed reading, volunteering her time at the Presbyterian Home and was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Utica. Her greatest joy came from spending winters in Myrtle Beach with her beloved companion, John. Mrs. Renninger is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Harold (Hal) and Kelley Renninger of Remsen, NY and Scott and Gail Renninger of CA; four cherished grandchildren, Matthew Renninger and his wife Susie of MA, Mandy Hodgdon and her husband Jeremy, Brandon Renninger and his wife Katie and Julia Renninger all of CA; five adored great grandchildren, Liam, Amelia, Madison, Brady and Brianna as well as Carol's loving companion, John Anderson's family, Mike and Margaret Anderson and their children Page and Benjamin of Cortland and Mary and John Bodhane and their son Zachary of CO. She was predeceased by her longtime companion, John. Carol's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and staff on the Maple unit at the Presbyterian Home for the loving care and compassion given to carol. In keeping with Carol's wishes there are no calling hours and services will be held at the convenience of her family.
