Dolores A. Sbiroli, 81, of Utica, passed away on April 14, 2015 in St. Elizabeth's Medical Center. Dolores was born on April 20, 1933, a daughter of Paul and Edna (Jalowiec) Caporale. On June 11, 1955 in St. Mary Mt. Carmel Church, Utica, Dolores was united in marriage to Frank A. Sbiroli, a blessed union of 53 years, until his passing in 2008. For many years, she was employed at the Masonic Home. She was a parishioner of St. Mary Mt. Carmel Church. Dolores was a woman of many interests. She especially loved sewing, cooking, shopping and listening to polka music. She was blessed with a wonderful personality and a delightful sense of humor. Dolores derived enormous joy in the time she spent with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Family was always first in Dolores' life. Cookouts and holiday get-togethers were a special time shared with family. Dolores is survived by her children and spouses, Daniel J. Sbiroli, Utica, Gary and Michele Sbiroli, Utica, Linda A. Sbiroli and Daniel Pace, Utica, Sandra M. and Mark Colosimo, Utica, a daughter-in-law, Yvette Sbiroli, Utica, seven grandchildren, Michael, Amanda, Deanna, Daniel, Caitlin, Jessica and Alison, five great grandchildren, a sister, Pauline Wohlrab, Deerfield, two sisters-in-law, Theresa Schreck, Sauquoit and Maryann Sbiroli, Utica, many nieces and nephews and her canine companion, Poochie. Dolores was predeceased by a son, Frank Sbiroli Jr. in 2010, a brother, Alfonse Caporale, a brother-in-law Gerard Wohlrab Sr. and a nephew, Gerard Wohlrab Jr. Mrs. Sbiroli's funeral will be held on Friday, April 17, 2015 at 11:00 at St. Mary Mt. Carmel Church. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Those so wishing may make donations to the American Lung Association in Dolores' memory.
