William C. Kimball, 66 of Greenwich, NY, formerly of Clinton passed away on March 31,2015 with his family at his side. Bill was born in Utica, NY on July 25, 1948, the son of Richard O. and Mary Elizabeth (Fay) Kimball. He was raised and educated in Clinton School System. Bill furthered his education at Cornell University, where he attained his BS degree. On July 18,1970 in Clinton, Bill was married to Marilyn Ashforth. After College, Bill joined the United State Army, where he proudly served for 28 years, as an intelligence analyst. He was a member of the 425 MID Unit, where he received several awards, including the Army Commendation Medal . He worked for the NY State Department of Agriculture and Markets , as Director of Protection and Development Services. Bill was a former member of the Greenwich Lions Club and a former member of the Church of the Annunciation, in Clark Mills. Bill is survived by his wife, Marilyn of Greenwich; two daughters and their husbands, Jennifer and Kenneth James of Silver Springs, MD., Alison and Chris Peto of Clinton; one son and his wife, Andrew and Kimberlee Kimball of Atlanta, GA., his mother, Mary Elizabeth Kimball of Clinton; his mother in law, Jean Ashforth of Clinton; five cherished grandchildren, Olivia, Emma, and Nate Peto, and Jackson and Dylan Kimball. He is also survived by four sisters, Susan Kimball and Thomas Catterson, Fay and Russell Gill, Lynn and al Zenker, and Kathleen and Mark Pianka; one brother, Douglas and Sharon Kimball; a brother and sister in law, Fred and JoAnne Ashforth; three cousins, Richard Tastor, Charles Massoud Tastor, and Judy Tastor Tomaselli; and several nieces and nephews. Bill was predeceased by his father, Richard in 1997. Mr. Kimball's Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, April 6, 2015 at 11:00 AM, at the Church of the Annunciation, Clark Mills. His Rite of Committal and Burial will be at the convenience of the family at St. Mary's Cemetery, Clinton. Donations in Bill's memory would be appreciated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Inc. Arrangements are in the care of the Heintz Funeral Service Inc., Clinton.
