I was looking at an old picture of my soccer team in high school and there was Z. I remember him as being EXTREMELY funny and kind, and I decided to look im up. I haven't seen him in decades, but somehow the loss felt so strong and so immediate, and I was so sad to learn of it. I know that many years have passed since he was taken at such a young age, but to this day, fond memories live on, in people like me and the many others who experienced him at whatever age we were lucky enough to do so. My heart goes out to the family. There were many familiar names in that list of family members, all of which made me smile as I thought of them. To those left behind, I wish to extend my long overdue sympathies, particularly to his kids. I lost my father at a very young age, and the feelings are very personal and unique throughout your life. I know you are grateful for having had him when you did, and I am sure that his strong spirit lives on in all of you. His humor and his energy is a gift, and I am sure you share what he instilled in you with those around you. It feels strange and inadequate to be offering these condolences after all of these years, but he had an impact on me back in high school that I have never forgotten. My belated condolences to all of you.
