Marion Schrader Hendrick, 90, of the Presbyterian Home, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2015. Marion was born in Utica on February 24, 1924, a daughter of John F. and Katherine M. (Trosbach) Reittinger. Marion married Karl E. Schrader in Utica in 1943. Karl passed away in 1972. In 1974 she married Donald Hendrick, he passed away in 2001. For many years until her retirement in 1979, Marion was employed at Griffiss Air Force Base in Rome. She was a member of St. Peter's Church, North Utica and a former member of the Maynard Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, the Utica Maennerchor and the Marcy Seniors. Marion is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Lynda Schrader of Marcy, two grandchildren, Karl Schrader and Jennifer Schrader both of Marcy, three sisters-in-law, Jane Reittinger, of TX, Helen Reittinger of New Hartford and Ann Reittinger of OH and several nieces and nephews. Marion was predeceased by a sister, Katherine Phillips and three brothers, Edward, William and Ralph Reittinger Mrs. Hendrick's funeral will be held on Monday, February 16, 2015 at 11:00 from St. Peter's Church, North Utica. Burial will take place in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Whitesboro. There are no calling hours. Those so wishing may make donations to the Stevens-Swan Humane Society in Marion's memory. Marion's family would like to extend their loving thanks to their aunt Helen Reittinger for all of her help throughout the years.
