Norman R. Brennan, 85, a resident of the town of Paris, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at his home with his loving family by his side and his cows in the barn. Norman was born in Utica on March 11, 1929 the son of Roger and Mary Alice (Frawley) Brennan. He was raised in the Town of Paris and received his education at the Doolittle School House and Waterville Central School. On November 17, 1951, Norman married Marian E. In 2002, Norm was honored as Oneida County Dairy Farmer of the Year and Deborah Tormey Furner introduced him as "the rock of the local farming community." Norm enjoyed seeing young farmers succeed and was always willing to help support their efforts. He was proud of his gift of being a dowser and found water sources for many friends and neighbors. He was predeceased by his parents, Roger and Mary; maternal grandparents, Maurice and Nellie (Tormey) Frawley with whom Norm shared a special relationship along with his two brothers, Vincent and Edwin. In keeping with Norman's wishes, there are no public calling hours.
