Obituary of Michael R. Brindisi

Mr. Michael R. Brindisi, 30, of California, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 as a result of medical related issues. Michael was born in Utica on December 12, 1983 the son of Charles Brindisi and Diane M. Yager. Michael was a graduate of Vernon Verona Sherrill High School where he played basketball and ran track, and earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Buffalo. At one time, he worked in Atlanta and Buffalo where he made many great friends and was currently working with the Children's Museum in Sacramento, CA. Michael was an active volunteer with TEDx Talks in Sacramento CA as well as actively involved in the volunteer community in California. He was an avid comic book enthusiast, was an amazing writer and artist and prior to his death was writing a "graphic novel" with his good friend, Chau. He also loved science, Dr. Who, was a amateur craft beer brewer, a Boston Red Sox Fan and did an internship with Disney World in Florida. He was a wonderful son, brother and friend, who truly loved his family and friends. Michael is survived by his father and step-mother, Charles and Carol Brindisi of Springboro, OH; mother and step-father, Diane Yager and Brian Doyle of Clinton; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Melissa and Christopher Banas and their children Chloe and Jillien who was Michael's Goddaughter, all of Sauquoit, Jessica Markle and her son Zachary of Lebanon, NY and Danielle Brindisi of Cincinnati, OH; one brother, Stephen Markle and his son, Stephen of Canastota, NY and his grandmothers, Flora Brindisi of Utica and Doris Yager of Deerfield as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins and great friends to numerous to mention. He was predeceased by his grandfathers, Salvatore Brindisi and Robert Yager. Michael's funeral will be held on Saturday November 8, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph & St. Patrick Church, 702 Columbia St., Utica, where his Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. His Rite of Committal and burial will be in Crown Hill Memorial Park in Clinton. Calling hours for family and friends are Friday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 10 E. Park Row, Clinton. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, 5005 Campuswood Dr, East Syracuse, NY 13057 in Michael's memory.
