Obituary of David L. Farley

Mr. David L. Farley, 84, of Deerfield, passed away on Tuesday October 16, 2018 at Faxton-St. Luke’s in New Hartford with his loving family by his side.
David was born in Utica, on August 4, 1934, the son of Andrew and Elizabeth (Heflin) Farley. He proudly served in the US Air Force, where he was stationed at Thule Air Force Base in Greenland. On August 27, 1960, David was united in marriage with Patricia DePaul, a loving and devoted union of 58 years. David was employed with United Parcel Service, retiring as a fleet manager after many years of dedicated service. David’s greatest happiness was being a loving husband to his “Perfect” wife Patricia, being a supportive, dedicated father, but most of all, his beaming pride of his five grandchildren and two great grandchildren who lovingly called him “Pops”.
Mr. Farley is survived by his loving wife Patricia; one son and daughter-in-law, David and Diana Farley; five cherished grandchildren, David and Caitlin Farley, Drew and Colleen Farley, Derek and Jaclyn Farley, Dustin Farley and Taylor Handy and Ariana and Angela Gaeta and two adored great grandchildren, Nolan and Reagan Farley. He was predeceased by his beloved daughter, MaryAnn Farley Gaeta and brother, Douglas Farley.
A celebration of David’s life will be held on Friday, October 19, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Whitesboro. Those who wish to donate in David’s memory, please consider St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Envelopes will be available at church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heintz Funeral Service, Inc., N. Utica.
