Mrs. Jeanette F. Williams, 67, of Utica, passed away on Monday, April 14, 2014 at the home of her devoted son and daughter-in-law, Francis and Amanda Williams. She was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her passing. Jeanette was born in Ruston, Louisiana on March 24, 1947, the daughter of H.R. and Alma Davis. She was raised in Louisiana and was a graduate of Louisiana Tech. On January 20, 1968, Jeanette married Harold Williams at St. Paul's Church in Whitesboro. At one time, she was employed with St. Luke's Memorial Hospital and for many years with Glen Cove Nursing Home in Panama City, FL retiring in 2013. Jeanette was a huge football fan, especially the LSU Tigers, Oakland Raiders and Florida State Seminoles. She enjoyed singing, especially to her family, who were the light of her life. She was of the Catholic faith. Mrs. Williams is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Harold (Howie) Williams and Yvonne of Panama City, FL, Francis and Amanda Williams of Utica and Joseph and Heather Williams of Lynn Haven, FL; six sisters, Shirley Colson and her husband Peter of Virginia Beach, VA, Sharon Ford and Wilbur Sunday of Panama City, FL, Liz Williams and Fran of Yorkville, Patricia LoGalbo and her husband Butch of Utica, Josephine Rahn and her husband Brian of New Hartford and Elizabeth Murphy and her husband Ray of Panama City, FL; one brother, Jimmy Ford and his wife Tish of Raleigh, NC; one brother-in-law, Richard Williams and his wife Denise of Marcy; one sister-in-law, Donna Williams of Whitesboro and her Godson, Dan LoGalbo of Frankfort; Also surviving are several cherished grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother-in-law, Genevieve Williams who was like a mother to Jeanette and brother-in-law, Dan Williams. Mrs. Williams' funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. prior to the service. Mrs. Williams' family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Atul Butala and his staff, the staff of Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc. and the staff of the Visiting Nurses Association for the wonderful care and compassion you provided to Jeanette. In keeping with Jeanette's wishes, those attending her funeral service are respectfully asked to wear purple or orange as these were her favorite colors.
