Elizabeth ( Dutchie ) F. Moran, 75, of Tarlton Rd., Deerfield, passed away at her home on December 12, 2013, with her loving family at her side. Dutchie was born on February 23, 1938 in Utica, NY , the daughter of Leo and Lois (Cook) Schrader. She was a graduate of St. Francis de Sales High School in 1955. In August, 1959 at St. Francis de Sales Church, Utica, she was married to James B. Moran. Dutchie earned a Diploma in Fine Arts from Munson-Williams-Proctor Institute School of Art in 1988 and an Associate Degree in Fine Arts from MVCC in 1996. She had been employed by New York Telephone and Munson-Williams-Proctor School of Art, retiring in 1999. She returned part-time to MWPI Museum until March 2012. She was a member of St. Paul's Church, Whitesboro, NY. Dutchie was an artist and enjoyed painting, drawing, reading and crafts. She was a life member of Beta Sigma Phi. Besides her husband, Jim, Elizabeth is survived by four children and their spouses, Karen (Chris) Day of Deerfield, Lauren (Dc. Anthony) Paparella of Whitesboro, James, Jr.(Pamela) Moran of Deerfield, Christy (Bill Jr.) Tuttle of Whitesboro; her grandchildren, Sarah and Ryan Paparella, Patrick and Kaitlyn Day, Melinda (Marty) Regan and Matthew (Abbey) Day, Collin and Casey Moran, and Michael, Dylan and Sabrina Tuttle. She also leaves two brothers, L. Michael (Barbara) Schrader , and Edward (Bertie) Schrader all of Utica; two sisters, Beverly (David) Christen of Norwich, and Kay (Bob) Russo of New Hartford; brother in law and sister in law, Wesley and Lois Pick, her "adopted" family, John, Pat, Amber and Charlie Ryczek and several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Elizabeth was predeceased by her parents, and an infant brother Charles Schrader. The family wishes to express their thanks to the Care Givers at Faxton Cancer Center and the Staff at Hospice and Palliative Care along with all other care givers for their kindness and compassion. Mrs. Moran's funeral service will be held Monday, December 16, 2013 at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd. N. Utica at 11:45 and at 12:30 pm at St. Paul's Church, Whitesboro, NY, where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Her burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, at the convenience of her family. Calling hours at the funeral home will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Sunday evening.
