Mrs. Mary L. Bushley, 62, a resident of the St. Luke's Home in New Hartford, formerly of Utica, passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2013, at the nursing home, with her loving family by her side. Mary was born in Waterville, Maine on May 9, 1951 the daughter of Methyl Frost. She was raised and educated in Utica and was a graduate of Utica Free Academy. In Utica, on August 29, 1969, Mary married Raymond Bushley Sr. For many years, she was employed with the Golden Age Home in Utica. Mary was an avid bingo enthusiast, black jack player and will be remembered for her cooking which she enjoyed sharing with her beloved family and friends. Her love for her family, and especially her grandchildren was evident to all her knew her. Mrs. Bushley is survived by her husband, Raymond of Utica; two daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Tony Williams of Syracuse and Tammy and Eric Rivers of Ava, NY; one son and daughter-in-law, Raymond, Jr., and Erica Bushley of Burke, NY; four sisters, Pat Gray, Erma Roy, Judy Lachance and Gail Hill; one brother, Michael Murray as well as 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Jessie Lynn Bushley on August 13, 2013. A memorial service for Mrs. Bushley will be held on Friday, October 18, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica. Calling hours for family and friends are Friday, from 5:00-7:00 prior to the memorial service.
