Jessie Lee Rose, 19, of Utica, an enrolled member of the Tlingit Tribe, Bear Clan, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday July 14, 2013. Jessie was born in Utica on October 1, 1993 the son of Michael Rose and Kristine Almas. He was raised locally and attended Proctor High School. Jessie was a computer and electronics "wiz" who enjoyed everything Audio and Video related. He enjoyed Poetry, drawing, biking, nature walks, camping and was always interested in fixing things. Jessie was of the Catholic faith and also shared many beliefs associated with the Native American teachings. Jessie is survived by his parents, Michael and Kristine of Utica; two brothers, Jory Lazore and Jered Rose both of Utica; a sister, Shania Rose of Utica; his maternal grandmother, Mary Almas of Utica; uncles, Gary Almas, David Almas, Todd Almas and Wayne Almas ; a cousin, Missy Almas as well as many many friends to numerous to mention. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Kenneth Almas and Uncle, Scott Almas. Relatives and friends may call on the family and celebrate Jessie's life, on Saturday, July 27, 2013 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica.
