Mrs. Jane-Ann Dwyer, 71, of Utica, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare in New Hartford surrounded by her loving family. Jane-Ann was born in Utica on October 1, 1941 the daughter of Julius and Jane (O'Brien) Schreck. She was raised locally, was a graduate of Sacred Heart grade school and Utica Catholic Academy. On November 19, 1960, Jane-Ann married David A. Dwyer at St. Joseph's Church in Utica, a devoted union of 52 years until the recent passing of David on November 24, 2012. For over 30 Years, she was employed with Oneida County Department of Social Services. For over 50 years, Jane-Ann was a member of the Knights of St. John St. Mary's Auxiliary 156 and a past Grand President of the NY State Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of St. John. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph & St. Patrick Church in Utica, the Nocturnal Adoration Society at the Church as well as an Eucharistic Minister, a member of the Christ Child Society, Utica Maennerchor, I.O.O.B and a dedicated Pastoral Care volunteer at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Utica. Jane-Ann enjoyed knitting, crocheting, spending time with her family at camp and will be fondly remembered by her loved ones as the family cook. Mrs. Dwyer is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Donna R. and Richard Peroni of Rome and Cathleen A. Dwyer, UPD retired, of Utica; one son, Thomas A. Dwyer of Utica; four cherished grandchildren, Daniel Peroni, Crystal Peroni, Makenna Dwyer and Carly Dwyer; two special people who were considered grandchildren, Jonathan Caldwell and Marlissa Caldwell; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Carolyn and Ralph Brown of Baldwinsville, Rosemary and David Evans of Liverpool, and Patricia and Robert Thompson of Liverpool; one brother and sister-in-law, James and Genevieve Schreck of Charlotte, NC; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Donald and Gail Dwyer of Waterville; a special Goddaughter, Kimberly Lanza of Herkimer; Makenna and Carly Dwyer's mother, Melissa Evans and special neighbors, Merrill and Lori Constantine. Also surviving are Many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Dwyer's funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 10:15 a.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., Utica and 11:00 at St. Joseph & St. Patrick Church where her Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Rite of Committal and burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Yorkville.
