Mr. Matthew M. Usyk, 46, of Clinton, passed away unexpectedly on Friday May 31, 2013 at Little Falls Hospital. Matthew was born in New Hartford on November 9, 1966 the son Andrew and Dolores (Zygmunt) Usyk. He was raised locally, was a graduate of Whitesboro High School and earned an Associate's degree from MVCC. Matthew was employed as a mold technician with MSI Molding Solutions in Rome, NY. He was an outdoor enthusiast who enjoyed fishing, camping, hiking, as well as mud races and also had a passion for karaoke. Mr. Usyk is survived by his mother, Dolores Usyk of Clinton; one son, Noah Usyk of Cicero; one sister, Cindy Shepardson of Schuyler; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Andy, Jr. and Kathy Usyk of Westmoreland and Doug Usyk of Poland; a special aunt, Clarice Zygmunt of Clinton as well as several additional aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Andrew and a brother Raymond Usyk. Mr. Usyk's funeral will be held on Wednesday evening, June 5, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica. Calling hours for family and friends are Wednesday from 4:00-7:00 prior to the funeral service. His burial will be held on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in West Schuyler Cemetery on Newport Rd., in Schuyler. Please omit floral offerings and consider the needs of Matthew's family.
